Coney Island

These pics were actually from a few weeks ago. Coney Island is in the southern most part of Brooklyn.

The Coney Island Boardwalk

Looking out to the Atlantic Ocean

Perhaps the most famous landmark at Coney Island...original Nathan location, host of the Hot Dog Eating Contest every July 4th!

The record for most hot dogs eaten in 12 mins is 68..

Another thing Coney Island is famous for...amusement parks

Wonder wheel...the world's only ferris wheels with an inner wheel. The cars in the inner wheel swings and swings out to the outer wheel.

So sad...my first "regular" hangout in NY died as soon as I became a regular. Closed last Tuesday.

The MET

Metropolitan Museum of New York...one of the best museums in North America.

Been there twice already but still haven't been able to go through everything that I want to see in detail...that's how big it is

The front entrance...the whole building actually spans the whole block. Imagine going from the Central side of Admiralty to the Wanchai side of Admiralty.

The Main Hall (and looking down from the 2nd floor)

Egyptian exhibit (museum is not just art, but also a lot of historical artifacts). This temple is actually relocated from the Egypt riverside. "Token of appreciation" from the Egyptian government for US financial assistance to maintain Egypt's historical sites.

只剩下鋼琴陪我站在這裡...(18th century piano in the US: the keys were all made of shells)

Taking a break..looking out Central Park

The Picasso Collection...(current exhibit: most complete collection in the world with over 300 works)

Las Vegas (1) Hoover Dam

Was in Las Vegas over the weekend. Awesome trip.

Slot machines are everywhere...starting from the moment u step into the airport (crappy picture because of the sunset in the backdrop)

Great view of LV..city in the desert

First day...off to Hoover Dam. One of the 7 modern wonders in the world

Looking down from the dam (the dam is 700 feet tall)

New bridge being built near the dam...would be great once it's done because 1) the traffic is bad because the dam only allows 2 lanes of traffic 2) provides a great view of the dam from there

Consider that the dam was built in 1935...this is amazing

Other side of the dam..yeah there are people boating

Nevada.....Arizona.....left foot at 12:45pm, right foot at 1:45pm...closest thing to time travel! (Arizona is one hour ahead of Nevada)
