ESPN Zone New York

My home...hahaha. Actually it's my favourite sports bar. Weird (or maybe I just haven't found one) but there are hardly any sports bars/pubs here. By that I mean big screen TV type...I rather watch on my laptop if all a bar got is a 30" TV.

When you've been associated with ESPN for 15 years....you have to go to this shrine. Right in the heart of Times Square

...yes...the guy holding a basketball is the guy that'll bring u to ur seat.

4 Floors altogether....1st/2nd Floor is dining/bar. 3rd Floor is "private boxes".

2nd Floor bar area....they should be able to use this as a trading floor for NASDAQ (the NASDAQ office is actually right behind ESPN Zone....what a life!)

2nd floor dining area...the screen extends to the 3rd floor.

4th Floor...gaming area.

My favourite game....NHL2Night!

Consistent with the restaurant theme....check out the bathroom (Men's)

My favourite display.....pic of the Babe made of baseball cards!

In Toronto...again

Was in Toronto for a wedding over the weekend. The wedding was NOT the highlight...there were better times than that.

Went to Buffalo and Niagara Falls...too bad I forgot to bring my camera. I did bring my camera to the Blue Jays baseball game though.

Shot of going into downtown. The super tall building is the CN Tower....STILL the world's largest free-standing structure (i.e. business buildings don't count)

You can barely see it from the above photo but the white rooftop under the green sign is Rogers Center (I prefer the old name Skydome better)....where the Blue Jays play.

It's NOT an outdoor stadium. The roof is retractable! World's 1st building with a fully-retractable roof! Useless information of the day: Andy Lau is the only Chinese singer to have a concert here

My seats

First batter of the game (try to find the ball!)

Blue Jays' turn at bat. Bautista hit a home run right after I took this picture

Here's what the concession stands look like

Got bored and sat in an another section (try to find the ball again!)

No, not the one in Causeway Bay

Before sunset

At night

Closer look at that countdown ball

Hippest McDonalds in the world??

SANRIO SHOP!

Another familiar place...

Spent most of my time here..although I'm not a Yankee fan.

Trip down the memory lane...

One of the must-dos on this Toronto trip:

My favourite Canadian breakfast: Tim Horton's coffee, Timbits, and the Sun (over the Star because it's much easier to flip while eating)

What are Timbits? Always wonder what happen to middle of the donut which became a hole?

My ex-home.
Based on the Google Map pics, the new owners (actually the 2nd owner after my family) filled up the backyard pool and took the pool out.

My ex-ex-home. On the other hand...the new owners of this house build a new pool in the backyard. The backyard was long and rectangular...perfect for a pool.

The street which the ex-ex-house was on.

My first post!

First stop...Toronto. My unofficial "home" although the only thing I'm really attached with this home is my driver's licence:

1) My friend's lovely new home and my rental car.

2) My rental car up close.

The Corolla is....well I want to say crap but for its price it's not bad. Only problems: car has a tough time accelerating after hitting 140km/h and very thin body (soundproofing is worse than my "front 7" in HK, and this is a 2010 model. The trunk door closes by itself because it's too light to stay open). The great thing was that the car is really short.....didn't really have to look hard to make sure there's enough space in front or back when driving.

3) My friends.....and typical weekend activity in Canada.

I was the supervisor and cameraman, hahah....and after helping out for a few mins we realized that it was not a good thing if the traveler got hurt or killed while tearing out the deck.

More to come.
