Washington DC

Still one month behind my photos....went for a one day trip to Washington. Only went around the Mall....not enough time and too much walking!

US Capitol Hill

Kinda surprised to see that they have a visitor center, as well as free tour!

Key feature in the Capitol Hill..each state provided figures of important people from their state...this was the most important to me SAMUEL ADAMS

Can't remember where this was but...the paintings depicted different major events in the development of US history, and the decorations right under the skylight actually is a continuous painting starting from the landing of Columbus in America up to today.

Room where 1st congregation of the US Senate was held

US Supreme Court

The Smithsonian Institute

Lincoln Monument....

...where Martin Luther King made the "I have a dream speech". This is what King was facing when he made the speech...the Washington Monument.

Close up of the Washington Monument

Finally....the WHITE HOUSE (this is as close as we got thanks to extra security measures)

Statue of Liberty

Must go in NYC of course...but didn't think of going until my fd had extra tickets to Liberty Island (where the Statue sits).

自由神像....在遠方迷濛

Close up...from the front

The back

Ellis Island..in the 1800s all immigrants from Europe must go through the building on this island to determine whether they are allowed into America (most of them would pass; less than 2% gets sent back)

Getting off the boat to Ellis Island..just like the people 200 years ago.

Baggage claim...haha

Waiting hall..

The "Judgement" room...where the US immigration determine certain questionable people can enter into the US.

Other exhibits in the building (don't ask why)...Barbies of the World

Note what the guy is saying..

Finally....heading back to Manhattan

Atlantic City

Really need to catch up with my photos.

Atlantic City....a must go given who I am, haha. Definitely not as popular as Las Vegas. In fact it does feel kinda old and dead. I was there on Independence Day and as u can see, it's not very crowded on what is suppose to be one of the biggest US holidays.

The famous Boardwalk....

Caesar's Palace

Shopping was more attractive than gambling

戰利品...hahaha
